Anyway, in response to the title of this topic, I feel uncomfortable and weird.
*Inhale* (prepare for some serious soap opera shit right here folks).
So last night I was at a Syth gig in a Glasgow rock pub with two of my friends. Then a girl who is friends with one of my friend's little sister comes over to sit with us. She's got a repuatation for being insanely needy and obsessed with looking her best, but I'd never spoke to her before then.
So then, the night's proceeding, and I'm seeing everyone's point about the chick needing lots of approval, but I'm still getting on well with her. Things got a little `personal` and I ended up with her number.
But, all night long I'd been getting warning signals from my friend who has known this girl since she was a kid not to proceed. And while I know I'm within my rights to tell him to fuck off and mind his own business, it still wouldn't feel right at all (and I know I'd probably be acting the same in his situation).
Then you bring in the fact that this girl is only 18 and I'm 23 and things take an even bigger turn for the worst. I mean, on the basis of one evenings conversation she seems great, but should I be looking to continue something with a girl 5 years younger than me that might only have been happy getting the attention?
I really suck at this kind of thing. [/catharsis]
Tread with extreme caution. 18 is very young, and if she's a few crisps short of a packet as she sounds... :|
