Yeah...this is probably the most comically overexaggerated review I've read on here. Sounds kind of like something you would hear Andy or that other hilarious guy say about Opeth. i.e. "every single milisecond there is something so incredibly mind-blowing and brilliant" or whatever it was.
And how the fuck does Gravedancer thrash like Dark Angel? It sounds more like Communication Breakdown.
That was Brother of Metal, I think.
And hey, I think it sounds like Dark Angel. They have a lot of late-80's thrash influence in their riffing.
I stand by my position: It fucking rules. I love the riffing, the screams, the drumming is insane (and as a bonus, free of triggers), and the songs are short and intense. Great to thrash around to. The comic overexaggeration is intentional, in case you haven't noticed, I like making people laugh when they read my reviews. Sort of a secondary concern, especially when the album is either really great or really terrible.
Everyone gotta disagree sometime.
Absolutely, its tough to accurately describle chaos like Terrifyer, so why not overdo it and have fun with it? Radical, there has to be a band that you would overexaggerate on if given the chance. If you don't like Pig Destroyer, that's fine. But do you have no appreciation for the sheer technicality of this album? I'm not saying its an absolute fact, but I love how these guys play balls out psycho metal. Its unique, and at least that deserves recognition.
By the way, Aaron, I like this style of a review. If you go crazy with the hyperbole, not only is it funny, but it also shows that you really appreciate the album. Its definitely a better guage than the standard color-by-numbers review.
