Yeah, Shasheron, she's a really nice girl and definitely someone I wouldn't wanna lose. We're actually looking at our relationship as a long term one. I'd be the happiest man on earth if things work out well and we're married. We have been planning things as well.
Metal_xxx, I wouldn't spend on a diamond ring for now cos we're still 23 and we have many years to go. I'd rather save the diamond ring for a special 'ocassion' in the near future.
And speaking of diamond rings and settling down, someone asked me a question that's been pricking me for quite sometime. A friend of mine, actually had the balls to ask me "Dude, she's in medicine school now, and she'll be a DOCTOR when she graduates. You are doing some media course, and GOD knows where you'll end up after you graduate. Even if it's a good job, can you compare yourself to her, a DOCTOR? Have you ever thought of the difference in both your professions?". This prick was hinting at our typical Asian classism. Doctors, lawyers and engineers are considered high classed professionals while the rest have their own categories, which are considered lower than the 3 professions mentioned. I never saw this as an obstacle but thanks to him, I do feel slightly heavy a bit. She's never said any of this would be a problem, but I do feel a bit disturbed by it. And to add further confusion, we come form 2 rivalling subraces. She's Indian Tamil while I'm Ceylonese Tamil. In my hometown, and my country (Malaysia), both races hate each other and are often at each others throats. Her family bitterly despises the Ceylonese a lot, but somehow they like me, and Gayethri (that's her

) has assured theres no problem with it. But you can never be sure of anything......
