Very nice.
Classic album for sure, and Maidens best.
Every track kicks ass; from the opening lines of The Ides of March to the closing notes of Drifter, this album rules.
Favorite tracks:
Another Life, Innocent Exile (the opening bass lines are killer)Murders in the Rue Morgue, Ghengis Khan, Wrathchild... but they are all awesome.

Huh! :omfg:
You're not saying Prodigal Son is among your fav' tracks. Me very sad.
Anyway, classic album and my fav' with Piece of Mind.

They are all excellent, but those that I listed always stood out the most.
You like Piece Of Mind more than Number Of the Beast?

The problem with Piece Of mind is (was) that it was over-played; back in the spring of 83, that's all that was to be heard issuing from tape decks everywhere ( that and Def Leppard's Pyromania). Good album, though.

I've always found that the weak tracks on NotB (Gangland, Invaders, Run to the Hills [not that weak per se but I hate the chorus]) were weaker than those on Piece of Mind (Quest for Fire, Sun and Steel) and, then, it has my all-time fav' Maiden song (Revelations). I won't say it's flawless, but then no Iron Maiden album is, but it's the closer to perfection they ever got.

Yeah, I've heard that from a lot of people over the years regarding
Gangland, Invaders, Run to the Hills, and I tend to agree.
The lyrics to invaders are ace, though.
I like the overall feel of Number Of the Beast slightly more than Piece Of Mind. Piece of mind is a great album, it just suffered from overexposure.

Invaders is an absolutely awesome song with a horrible chorus, a shame really. Killers is however amazing.

I prefer TNOTB over Piece of Mind, which is less NWOBHM flavored. And also Clive Burr>>>>Nicko McBrain

McBrain is imo one of the most boring drummers in metal; Clive is much more enjoyable.

Killers and the 1st album are both fuckin ace.

Ok

I like Clive Burr but I think Nico superior on the bass and cymbals. Whatsmore, he fits Maiden's epics way better than Clive would have ever done.

I've been had, that's it, I hate sick people!
Seriously, Clive kind of reminds me of Brian Downey at times and I love Brian Downey. He was the right drummer on the ST and Killers but, imho, he showed his limitations on Number of the Beast. Not that he wasn't a good drummer, he was!

Keep it real, try a metal avatar instead of a retarded canadian one. :P

Back on topic: what do you think of Prodigal Son? I like its 70s feel, the oddest Iron Maiden song imho and one of the very best too.
