She will be sleeping with your best friend or boss in 1 year because she likes men who listen to classical music

Believe it or not I'm 44. But I've been listening to metal since I was 14 in the midst of the NWOBHM. As a teen, I swore off all other kinds of music when I discovered bands like Venom, Anvil, Exciter, Witchfinder General, etc. And I've stuck with it ever since. I spend about $100-200/week adding to my 10,000+ collection of metal CDs. I never miss a metal show in my area, even when travelling overseas I check to see if any metal bands are playing. I like power, thrash, black, death, doom, prog metal (as long as it's heavy), all genres of metal. But metal only.
Isn't it odd that someone is getting flamed on a metal reviews forum, for having a passion for heavy metal?
Dang and I thought I was the oldest one here

No offense, dude, but I'd kinda hate to be you, lol.
Really? A few days ago I went to Soundwave with a gorgeous lady, checked out Dimmu Borgir, Slayer, and Iron Maiden. Then we went to a nearby metal club and partied till 3 AM. That really sucks doesn't it?
>Implying that people that listen to nothing but metal are the only ones capable of doing this.
Plus, Slayer canceled at Soundwave.
To clarify, I'd probably hate to be anyone but me, but I can't imagine intentionally limiting myself to one kind of music for the rest of my life. I mean, I love metal, and a vast majority of my collection is made up of it, but there's so much wonderful, beautiful music out there that "swearing off all other types of music" seems absolutely stupid to me, and I love music far too much to even consider doing that.
EDIT: But of course, I'm just speaking my mind. Do what you want, but it just kinda baffles me is all.
I agree with this. I listen to classical music, rock, hard rock, some gospel,Gregorian chants and choral music and I can't image just listening to just metal.
Variety is the spice of life.
