Just got back from late night coffeeshop time with an ex-lady friend of mine. I am totally gonna hook up with that when I visit Cincy. Bitch wants my dick. Sending me texts about how she wants it.
Tomorrow, I'm moving then I need to read like a beast. I was so hungover all day that a headache forced me to watch football and Highlander and not study. Darn.
i gotta download the highlander tv series. i never watched it but i have seen all the movies. one of them was a stinker but all in all i like them.
I really really liked the first couple seasons. The TV show starts off on the right foot with a two part episode with christopher lambert, so it's like right off the bat you get another movie. There were some really cool guest spots on that show too.
With Highlander it is weird. The timeline is strange as the second movie is an alternate timeline from the Endgame movie which assumes different outcomes than what the vast majority of the franchise shows. Highlander III is really good and is the direct sequel to the first movie. I think after that, the TV shows tell what happens next. In other words, don't miss part 3, but the second one might as well be fan fiction.
Yup the second one just didn't make sense. But the third was the one where Sean Connery came back I think right? That was good. The one with Christopher lambert and Adrian Paul was good. I loved the first and probably watched it at least 20 times threw out my life.
No, he came back in the second one. The version that is currently in print on DVD fits the continuity since they completely re-edited the movie. The funny thing about it is that the creators of the movie insist that the explanations given in the second movie was their original backstory, but it made a better movie keeping it a mystery. They claim that fans simply did not want to hear the answers given and they recut the movie to fit with the rest of the franchise that they had no control over. I personally have no problem with immortals being aliens myself.
The second movie director's cut isn't bad, but it's still not a great film. The first is easily the best. The third one was alright. I liked Endgame for the nostalgia factor, but as a film it kinda sucked. There are two more films after that with Adrian Paul, but I've never considered watching them.
The TV series is great, if you take it with a grain of salt. It's a little campy, but the characters are cool. I remember liking the TV series growing up, but I don't know if there is ever a moment in the TV series that can be quite as badass as the first film and that kinda sucks. If there is any part that will match it, I think it will be the Four Horsemen storyline. We'll see.
Oh, and moved all my stuff this morning. New hotel room is awesome.
