c'mon ! Billy Idol is not a legend and not even is he an important rock artist... he's just some ignorant blonde bitch who first got caught with one of the worst punk band ever and then turned to do MTV rockin' shite for the masses...

the only "legendary" things about him are his hairstyle and his angry lip...

I don't need to respect anyone I don't like.

Many people in North America have danced, fucked, drove and drank to Mr. Idol's songs - they are classics! Play 'Dancing With Myself' at a club and observe the reaction.

Your basing a musicians worth on people in North America? Good God. What are you thinking? Replace Mr. Idol and 'Dancing With Myself' with 50 cent and one his "songs" and your sentence would still make since and is accurate. This is not a good thing.

C'mon, do you have friends? Do they live in North America? Do you like them? Do they like you? So possibly there are people in North America that are all right.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with rocking out to Billy Idol.

It's likely that these friends he may or may not have in NA do not like Billy Idol, and would do that half-snort-exhaling thing with their nose if he were brought up or played over the club speakers.

Besides, Billy Idol was only famous because he had four or five big hits, most of his material is afflicted with 'shallow stuff from the eighties that all sounds alike' syndrome.

When the best thing you can say about someone is that he had a cameo in an Adam Sandler movie, you know something's wrong.
Come on, Billy Idol is shit as far as I'm concerned. Is this METAL Reviews or 'washed-up fuckwit rock reviews'?

Even if you are starting to review more hard rock (what FOR?) you shouldn't cut down on the metal.

I live in America. That being said most Americans don't know shit about music. My point was plenty of people have " danced, fucked, drove drank" to 50 cent. And guess what if you put on 50 cent in a club 99% of the people like it. Does this mean it's good? NO.

It's really quite simple.....Sanctuary Records sends me some promos once in a while and if I feel they're appropriate to review for Metal Reviews then I do it. Besides, they've been responsible for getting be the Dave Mustaine interview and the Queensryche interview (coming soon...). Other artists on their label such as Bruce Dickinson, Dio etc. are no brainers...of course we will review them. Other stuff, well it's a gray area. I like the Billy Idol and thought that it was good enough to share with the readers. This album is more harder and more "metal" than the Adrian Belew CD I reviewed for them and I don't see the same sort of comments on that one. I was hoping that the readers would be a little more open-minded and not jump to conclusions before actually listening to this album....sadly, I was proven wrong.

Are you kidding me? There is a Billy Idol review and still no review for Octavarium. This is a disgrace. Octavarium is one of the bigger releases this year and it's yet to be reviewed but Billy Idol gets a review. What a fucking joke.

Octavarium isn't that great I'm a big fan of DT and even after weeks of listening it's just missing something Room V is a better.

I guess you didn't get what he was saying. Octavarium is a HUGE release from a HUGE band in the metal world, it doesn't matter how good it is, it's the fact that every other review site has done it and metalreviews hasn't. I mean I'm not saying this is anyones fault but c'mon.

P.S. Octavarium is amazing.

Meshuggah - Catch 33

Surely one of the most interesting and experimental albums of the year, started a huge debate about whether this is the future of metal or pointless boring wankery. Is there a review on MR? No.

Ulver - Blood Inside

The next step forwards for the ex-BMmers, showing their unique style and musicianship. Is there a review on MR? No.

Dream Theatre - Octavarium

The latest release by the prog metal giants, already dividing critics (Terrorizer - 5/10). Is there a review on MR? No.

Billy Idol - Devil's Playground

New album from some blond guy who was in an Adam Sandler movie, and was sort of popular in the 80's. IS there a review on MR? Yes.

:?

Don't forget the SikTh CD man, that's been out for a year and none of the reviewers have touched it.

Not that I want to be too harsh on the reviewers because I do like what they write.

Me too, I just think the subjects could be a bit better-chosen.
