I had seats in the second row for Nick Cave then ticketmaster's site fucked up and said it couldn't access the page and so I ended up with seats in the twelfth row way off center.
I got my tickets to Nick Cave this morning.
General Admission. Guess how much they cost me. Just guess.
(Hint: more than the most expensive tickets from the show you're going to. GA, remember.)
General admission? 100 bucks?
It was $105.60. With the booking fee, a ticket for me and the girlfriend was $215.something.
So uncool. Now that I know what other audiences around the world pay, I'm going to boycott every show that isn't an absolute must see. Unfortunately Nick Cave is exactly that....
You only paid fifteen more than me. Albeit General admission. Idk what to expect in terms of a crowd. I'm kinda imagining me and a punch of yuppie ex-punks chilling out in a music hall with our legs crossed.
Yeah, general admission, but also, NICK CAVE FUCKING LIVES HERE.
If I pay $60 to see Cannibal Corpse, I acknowledge that it costs them a lot of money to come to Australia and bring their equipment, etc.
By the same logic, you should pay more than me to see Nick Cave, who has to travel with his band and equipment to America. And taking into account the fact my ticket is GA, $15 less than what I paid is more unfair than it initially seems.
Someone figured out Australian audiences will pay more for shows, and now promoters are taking us to the cleaners. Fuck them.
