I do not play games for realism. So whether they are flaws as well in real life means nothing, the fact is, I want to have fun while playing a game, whether Im being spooned the story (Metal Gear) or whether I'm just wandering around wondering WTF?? (Morrowind) I dont care, every game has potential to interest me and be fun, Morrowind however, after 15+ hours has provided some fun, not much. I know this game needs 159.6 million uber hours to appreciate but I just dont have that time to spend on games unless I know I will have a good time. So far Morrowind has provided enough fun that Im not ready to let it go yet. Like I said, good game, with some flaws. Can you ride horses in the game? If so thatd be good, a quick way to get around if not, why even bother trying to be realistic.
Anyways, Im tired of talking about this game, its like FFVII, decent, but no wheres near the praise it deserves... To each their own I guess, maybe I'll play some more Gothic II if I can find that, I found that tons more enjoyable than Morrowind.
I hear much about this Gothic. Please tell me no more until I find it necessary to spend even more money on video games
Besides, I just got Quake 4 working properly, so to be honest I've really got my plate full. Quake 4, with Dragonforce as the soundtrack... mindblowing.
Gothic is an adventure game. More action than role-playing. There are a few different paths you can take when playing it, take G2 for example. A paladin, a mercenary, or a magician. As I said before the battle system could feel a bit more flexible, the characters are pretty "stiff".
What makes this game good is the world they have managed to create. There are people doing their everyday stuff and animals doing... well, animal stuff. You can go almost everywhere from the beginning but the stronger animals will most likely hand your ass to you in little pieces. It takes a lot of levels and a lot of armor before you can engage you first wolf pack for example since the AI will try to get behind your back when you're fighting someone else.
If someone was to merge the world and action of Gothic and the huge diversity of Morrowind, there would be no need for any other RPG's if I dare to say.
I just had to tell a bit

... So how is Q4 by the way?
