ok thanks, Marty, that's nice... this album, if not a classic, comes pretty close

only problem I have with your review is this : http://www.metalreviews.com/reviews/detail.php3?id=772
why would we need another review of the same album when a lot of classics are still not reviewed ? :?

Strange...why review an album that has a;ready been reviewed? I mean, there;s not much difference is there?

Pointless review. Why didn't you go review something else?

I will be reviewing the whole set of re-issues and even though this one's already been reviewed, I decided to do it anyway. It has tons of bonus material. Next up are the re-issues of Ace Of Spades and Iron Fist.....and i don't need the link to the other review pointed out to me...I'm well aware of it's existence...

But Marty, you barely mentioned the Bonus tracks. If that's all the reviews are about, seems rather pointless, especially, when you consider this isn't the first time these albums have been rereleased.

I got that you knew the existence of the previous review... but I still think it makes no sense reviewing it even for some 10 minutes bonus (compared to the edition that have been reviewed. 3/4 songs are not much...)....

anyway, since your review is far better than the old one was I'll shut up now ! :)

My thoughts exactly.

Marty, I'm confused....why quote the "Bomber" review and not this one? I think it deserves some type of score as well......

Overkill was already reviewed as a classic so I didn't quote it. The whole point of even including the Overkill re-issue was to point out the bonus material (19 tracks on the second CD). It seems that no-one really cares about that and just wants to flame for me even reviewing it. There's 4 re-issues that came out at the same time a couple of months ago. I have them all and why should I not at least mention the Overkill one rather than leave it out? It would be different if I re-posted it as a classic but I didn't...I also didn't quote it either. Adding it to the other weekly reviews along with the review of Bomber seemed like a pretty innocent thing to do .....I guess the forum trolls have nothibng better to do with their time....by the way Ace Of Spades us up next week for a classic.....anyone have a problem with that???

Yes, considering there's no reviews for most of Motorhead's albums. What of 1916? What of Orgasmatron? Another Perfect Day? Why review what has been done already?
And you "didn't see" my point about the bonus tracks. You barely mentioned them, at least go through them track by track!

Forum trolls?!

Edit: No review for AOS yet, so that's OK. Still think Bomber and Overkill reviews are pointless....

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with an Ace of Spades review, seeing how there is not currently a review for it in the database. Also, I don't see the need to get all defensive. Zad and TIE brought up good points and presented them in a constructive manner, hardly justifying your labeling them as forum trolls.

I'd love to see an "Ace of Spades" review Marty :D ! That is one of my favorite early Motorhead albums with Fast Eddie! Also, thanks for clarifying your reasoning behind the way the review was handled. 8)

I just realised there's no Number Of The Beast review. My mind is boggling.
