This album is definitely in the low 90's, or at the last an 89/100. The only bad song is "Trinidad," which is easily their worst ever. Other than that you've got a few good song and the rest are awesome! The problem is if you want power metal Edguy, this isn't the album for you.
WhawhawhatWHAT? Cmon, Kenny-dude, Trinidad is friggin awesome! A carlitocool-summer bonanza, a real party tune! Its -30 degrees here in Finland and every time I listen to Trinidad,I can feel the scorch and righteous rays! For some reason I get a Mr.Bungle-feel off the song. Oh well, I can easily see that people might not like it but it's my very favourite off this album, and thats not saying I think the rest sucks decapitated donkeycorpses. Sacrifice, the title track, Wasted Time, Catch Of The Century and The Asylum are my current Tops also. Its also surprisingly consistent, Superheroes is the only track that does nothing for me, just bland. Even the futuro-vibes of Matrix have grabbed onto me like crazy.
At first I didnt like the lightening direction too much, especially after the heavier magnificence of Hellfire Club, but Rocket Ride has really grown on me (not surprising as this album is filled with 80s hard rock-influences, mucho good for me). It aint Edguys best to me (HC-HC-HELLFIRE!!!) but an outstanding album, I would definitely score it 88-92. Well done, Toby and company!
